Thailand has a unique custom as the local people preserve the traditional local custom over the generations. I have some tips for the traveller what should and should not be done when travelling in Thailand.

Do eat the food with fork and spoon. You only use chopstick to eat the noodles.
Eat food when it is offered to you. Otherwise Thai people will be offended if you refuse it.
Take off your shoes when you visiting someone house. You may apply this rule when entering some shops as well.
The traditional way for greeting is 'Wai' rather than shakehands. Bring both of your palm hands together in front of chest and slightly bow your body.
Make sure you buy exactly what you want. Normally it is hard to get refund in Thailand.
DON'Ts
Don't touch the top of somebody's head. The most superior part of the body.
Don't point something with you feet. Again this is consider as the inferior part of the body. Sit with your feet pointing away from the Budha image.
Don't kissing in public. It considered as rude behaviour and you could be arrested for performing sexual acts in public.
Don't smoke indoor. This is illegal and never throw your ciggarette in the road because you will get fine of 2.000 Bahth or more.
Don't order one dish that you intend to finish by yourself. Thai people tend to sharing the meals.
Don't leave your chopstick on the bowl. It is a death signs.
Don't buy any stuff from the street seller. It is hard to get a great deal, traveller are likely got ripped off.
